Happy New Year to you all. 2021 is the Year of the Ox, denoting hard work, positivity and honesty in the Chinese Zodiac. We don’t expect this year to be easy as there are lots of obstacles we need to overcome, but we will survive and stay strong. Hopefully 2021 will be a great year! As we are adopting the change to a new era, all our meetings will be done virtually.
We are having our Income Tax Update technical meeting this month virtually. Our regular presenter, Darrell Carlis, CPA from Boos & Associates, A Professional Corporation will be giving a presentation on all the latest changes in the federal and state income tax laws. As there are a lot of changes in the tax laws, this meeting will be informative and interesting.
Also, for Ethics training, we will have Lolita Araim, Senior Financial Analyst Investigator at FSA & faculty member at Fresno State, to speak about the business and accounting ethics in March. This will be a great opportunity to obtain one of the two Ethics CPE required annually to maintain your professional license.
Lastly, if you have any suggestions of topics or speakers you would like to hear in the upcoming year, or would like to get more involved with the Board, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
